Anticipating selling our Bedford County farm with a 3 bedroom, single level home, I collected brochures and advertisements of many Realtors. Three stood out as reasonably local and with prior sale successes of similar farms with homes and plentiful wildlife. After interviewing 3 Realtors, I chose David Hurt of Land Matters LLC because of his vision for making small improvements to enable interested parties to tour and view all of the mostly-wooded property. They even offered to help clear tractor paths to enable small vehicles to tour and view all parts of the farm. My choice was rewarded when I became sick and they continued to clear fallen trees, suggest and get helpers to clean the house, mow the lawn, make small repairs, and even dispose of trash. They saw the needs and developed solutions to get the property ready to show, inside and outside. The internet advertisements they created drew interest nearby and from multiple states. They took charge and followed up on every inquiry and arranged phone calls and tours with prospective local and out-of-state purchasers as needed. They gave great advice on offers and the wording of the sales agreement and negotiated to get the agreement. They set up the required inspections and obtained specialists to make the few repairs we agreed to make before closing. In a nutshell, they took charge of the successful property readiness, solicitation of offers, and the sale. I could not have chosen a better realtor and highly recommend them.

We had a very unique and difficult home to sell. It had been on the market for 10 years when we bought it. The day we decided to sell it, I was terrified we would be holding on to an extra mortgage for a decade or so.

We interviewed 8 agents. When we first met with David and April, it was obvious they were very talented individuals. What particularly caught our interest was their wide array of marketing tactics that ensured the maximum amount of buyers saw our home. We also appreciated their ability to see the value in our unique property. Most of the agents wanted to list our home for at least 30% less than what we ended up listing and selling it for.
